Dr. Dawn Hoover

Dr. Hoover attended Mississippi State University as a Track and Field scholarship athlete and graduated with a degree in Animal and Dairy Science In 1995. Afterward, she remained in Starkville and attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine receiving her DVM in 1999. Dr. Hoover currently serves as the Baldwin County Rabies Officer. She lives in Fairhope with her husband Dan and their two boys Ben (17) and Brad (16) and their Springer Spaniel, Morphy (10). Dr. Hoover attends Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fairhope and loves to cook, travel and cheer on her sons in their sports activities.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Hoover as a regular member of the BAC team even if only just one day a week!

  • 1. I wrote a recipe column for the Baldwin Register for 5 years.
  • 2. I once submitted an audition video to Survivor (I wasn’t selected).
  • 3. I decided to become a veterinarian in the first grade and never changed my mind. It’s my dream job!
