Mirochipping

A growing trend in the United States among animal caregivers, veterinarians and shelters is the use of microchips for identification. A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is inserted by a veterinarian painlessly under the skin of your pet. On this chip, the pet’s name, address, owner information and even veterinarian that placed the chip can be found. If your pet goes missing or is suddenly separated from you, when they are found a scan can be done and if your pet has a microchip in place, all their information will show up on the computer screen. This is a great method of identification to have on your pet to always make sure you and your pet are never too far away from each other.
